Last week in kindergarten we had ice pop inspiration. Some kindergartners drew pictures showing how ice pops are made. Many of these drawings featured some kind of container, wooden stick, and liquid. Several drawings included rectangular "freezers." Many children used numbers to indicate the sequence of the steps involved in making and eating ice pops.
Teachers gathered supplies based on kindergartners' drawings. Available to children during project time were paper cups, pieces of foil, wooden sticks, pencils, a pitcher of water, a container of fruit punch-flavored Gatorade, two trays, and an empty freezer.
